Stained Glass Memorial Window Restoration Project Update
There are 8 pairs of memorial stained glass windows on the north and south sides of the church, in addition to several other single windows which were installed in early 1900. The pairs of windows are in need of restoration. A project is underway to raise funds through grants and private donations to restore the windows.
The Bowles family pair of memorial windows, most in need of repair, was the first to be restored in 2017. This was made possible through a grant, an anonymous donation, and a small fund raising effort.
The Argyle/Baskette family pair of memorial windows was restored as of September 2017. This was made possible by an anonymous donor.
The Stoneman family pair of memorial stained glass windows has been restored. This was made possible through a Stoneman family fund raising project and a matching grant challenge.
The Martha & Edward Brown family pair of memorial windows was restored as of July 2019; made possible through grant funds and donations.
The Hodgson family pair of memorial windows has been restored and reinstalled in October, 2022. Funds were made possible by a matching grant from the Peter Lee Foundation, a plus family donations, individual donations and fund raising projects.
The Cosby family pair of memorial windows will be the next in line for restoration.
